Brrrrr first race of the season and luckily I wasnt riding.
Held at Darley Moor Ashfield Rc first event of the season for E123's. Boy it was cold with some events being called of around the country due to snow this event was a goer even if the previous night saw a downfall off snow the track was pristine clear.
A small group containg the eventual winner Andrew Stuart (Ashfield RC) soon took flight and wasnt to be seen again by the main group. Scott Gamble and Dave clarke made the Junction to the lead group after numerous laps only to see the group split as soon as they made the Junction.
Andrew stuart jumping the lead group on the last lap took the win by a few seconds. Rob Parkin (Heanor Clarion) taking 2nd place in the bunch sprint for tenth place. More picture can be found at Veloriders |

Heanor Clarions Hilly 12 mile TT on the Windley circuit
If its got Hilly in the Title then I dont ride.......... And Im glad I didnt, the Hill through windley village is a stinker.

A quick trip up the M1 to Thurcroft CC's Cat 123 Road Race...
From the gun the break went and built to seven riders who were not to be seen for the rest of the race. The bunch then split due to the pace and cross winds, the 2nd group on the road then picked up the pace to try and catch the lead before the final lap, but it wasnt to be the break had about 20sec's on them at the finish.
